On the 31st of last month, the Chilgok Police Station in Gyeongbuk arrested a man in his 40s, identified as A, who threatened an employee with a weapon at the Saemaeul Geumgo in Seokjeok-eup and fled after stealing about 20 million won. It was revealed that he committed the crime due to pressure from debts.
According to the police on the 1st, A was reportedly under constant repayment demands due to business failure and gambling debts. The police discovered and secured the weapon used in the crime in the grass by the roadside about 12 km away from the crime scene that morning.
