The Traveling Small Concerts are small-scale mobile performances held at senior centers, welfare facilities, and apartment complexes, providing special cultural experiences and moments of relaxation for residents who find it difficult to visit performance venues amid their busy daily lives.
This year, from September 23 to October 29, performances enjoyable for various age groups will be held at a total of 11 locations: Yeongdeungpo Traditional Market (9.23), Cultural Event for Pregnant Women (10.2), Donbosco Kindergarten (10.12), Keunsup Senior Center (10.12), Korea Senior Citizens Association Yeongdeungpo Branch (10.13), Singil Central I-Park (10.13), Municipal Mullae Youth Center (10.14), Singil Central I-Park Senior Center (10.17), Singil Central Xi Senior Center (10.17), Youngple Market (10.28), and Mullae Mokhwa Village Project Group (10.29).
The district assigns various genres and performers such as classical music, movie and animation OSTs, and popular songs, considering the venue and the audience's age. To offer unique stages and enjoyment, collaboration with district-run art groups and local artists will also be pursued.
Additionally, thorough management of safety incidents will be ensured, including the deployment of safety personnel, securing sufficient entry and exit routes, and stage safety.
The district hopes that the Traveling Small Concerts will provide gentle inspiration to local residents and become an opportunity for communication and harmony.
