Busan Environmental Sector Industry-Academia-Research Institutions 'Together in One Place' ... Symposium Held
The Busan Green Environment Support Center at the National Pukyong National University held the "Busan Environment Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Symposium" on the afternoon of the 30th in Room 217 of Exhibition Hall 1 at BEXCO, Busan, focusing on the development of environmental technology and the training of environmental personnel in the Busan area.
Held in conjunction with the 2023 International Environment and Energy Industry Exhibition at BEXCO on the same day, the symposium was co-hosted by the Busan Green Environment Support Center, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korean Water and Wastewater Works Association, and six specialized graduate school projects in the environmental field in the Busan region.
On the day, industries, universities, and research institutes in the Busan area conducted presentations and Q&A sessions, sharing information on trends in environmental technology development among institutions and discussing directions for environmental personnel training projects.
The environmental company ‘Saeng’ introduced the ‘3-minute water purification fiber filtration’ technology as a case of environmental technology development, and the ‘Eco Beat Environmental Technology Research Institute’ presented the current status of the ‘IoT Converged MBR Smart Solution Development’.
Additionally, six specialized graduate schools in the Busan area, including Pukyong National University’s Graduate School specializing in fine dust management and waste resource energy conversion, Dong-A University’s Graduate School specializing in green restoration and green convergence technology (biological materials) talent development, and Pusan National University’s Graduate School specializing in green infrastructure low-impact development and climate change, presented the status of professional personnel training at each graduate school.
These specialized graduate schools are designated by the Ministry of Environment and others to train personnel in the environmental field.
