The police arrested A and booked B and C without detention.
The friends were already under probation for previous charges including vehicle theft.
On that day, they were looking for a target by driving around an apartment parking lot when they found a car with the keys inside and the doors unlocked, which they stole and fled with.
They drove the car to Gimhae and were caught in the radar net of patrolling police.

Suspicious, they chased the car and confirmed a report about a white compact car received an hour earlier, pursuing it for about 800 meters more.
Later, when the car stopped at a red light, the police approached and demanded all occupants to get out, but they drove off again.
At that moment, D, a truck driver in his 50s who saw this from the adjacent lane, blocked the car driven by A from the front, causing a collision that stopped the vehicle, and A and the others were arrested on the spot around 11:40 a.m.
A and the others reportedly decided to run away and committed vehicle theft crimes due to increased restrictions in their daily lives from probation.
Driver D said, “There were many pedestrians around the scene, and I instinctively blocked the fleeing vehicle because I thought additional casualties could occur during the escape,” adding, “As a citizen, I just did what I naturally should.”
