KAI Signs Production Contract for Light Armed Helicopters and Surion with Airbus
Signing of Proactive Integrated Procurement Contract for 300 Units
Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Airbus Helicopters (AH) have signed a proactive integrated order contract for the production of 300 units of Light Armed Helicopters (LAH) and Surion (KUH).

View original imageOn the 31st, KAI announced that this contract covers the anticipated volume over the next 10 years, including not only the mass production of LAH but also derivatives of the KUH and potential export quantities. The two companies plan to expand their strategic partnership in future projects based on this contract. Since starting the KUH development project in 2006, the two companies have continued their cooperation in various rotary-wing business areas, including LAH.
Matthew Lubot, Head of Business at AH, stated, "KAI is a reliable partner that has successfully developed multiple helicopter programs with AH over a long period," adding, "AH and KAI will continue to ensure the stable supply of these two high-performance platforms."
