LG Household & Health Care The History of Whoo Unveils Renewed 'Cheongidan' Product in China for the First Time
LG Household & Health Care announced on the 31st that it will renew ‘Cheongidan,’ the flagship product of ‘The History of Whoo,’ and launch it in the global market starting with China next month. Cheongidan is one of the most popular products in China and has undergone a renewal 13 years after its initial release in January 2010.
At the "The History of Whoo Cheongidan Art Fair in Shanghai" event hosted by LG Household & Health Care on the 30th at the Tank Shanghai Art Center, a complex cultural space in Shanghai, China, Chinese celebrity Pan Chengcheng is holding the renewed product of The History of Whoo's 'Cheongidan'.

The newly introduced Cheongidan inherits the heritage of the original Cheongidan while applying ‘herbal bioinformatics technology’ to enhance the efficacy and effects of ‘radiance anti-aging.’ It focuses on managing 12 signs of aging both on the surface and inside the skin, offering customers radiant and glowing skin.
The key ingredient, ‘Cheongibi-dan 12α,’ is a total anti-aging formula that densely fills the skin from within. It applies ‘Bio-Herb AI’ technology based on a natural product bio-integrated database, promising more definite effects. Additionally, the antioxidant flower ingredient ‘Golden Gardenia’ has been added to maximize anti-aging benefits.
Cheongidan also contains pro-radiance ingredients that help with anti-aging and radiance management, including skin tone, texture, elasticity, soothing, and moisturizing. Pro-radiance is a radiance anti-aging specialized ingredient developed based on skin data from over 17,000 Asian women, effective for wrinkles, elasticity, and hydration.
The brand labeling has also been updated. The design of ‘Whoo (后),’ representing The History of Whoo, remains unchanged, while ‘The History of 后’ has been abbreviated to ‘The Whoo’ to enhance customer affinity with the brand.

Meanwhile, LG Household & Health Care held ‘The Whoo Cheongidan Art Fair in Shanghai’ at the Tank Shanghai Art Center, a complex cultural space in Shanghai, China, on the previous day to promote the new Cheongidan globally. The event was attended by about 100 famous personalities, including Chinese idol singer Pan Chengcheng, local celebrities, and influencers. LG Household & Health Care plans to leverage this Cheongidan renewal to capture Chinese customers’ attention and seek a turnaround in the beauty business, which has been somewhat sluggish due to the impact of COVID-19. In Korea, the product will be available at department stores starting in October.
