Gyeonggi Office of Education Announces Personnel Changes on September 1: 69 Transfers and 1,273 Reassignments
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will carry out the regular personnel appointments for educational public officials effective September 1.
The Office of Education, after consulting with labor unions, has prepared an improvement plan for the transfer and exchange system, which will be applied starting from this regular personnel appointment.
The improvement plan includes ▲a 15% increase in the transfer rate ▲a reduction of the transfer deferral period from 3 years to 1 year ▲a relaxation of the one-year transfer requirement within the district for exchange personnel.
This regular personnel appointment involves 69 personnel in 6 job categories for inter-city and county exchanges and 1,273 personnel for transfers across 25 educational support offices.
The Office of Education particularly focused on creating stable working conditions for educational public officials by considering their preferences as much as possible, comprehensively reflecting factors such as long-term employee rotation transfers, staffing for newly established schools and retiree vacancies, and alleviating difficulties related to long-distance commuting.

Kim Jae-su, Director of Labor-Management Cooperation at the Office of Education, stated, "Fair and transparent personnel appointments were made based on standards prepared through labor-management agreement," adding, "We will continue to communicate with the field to ensure there are no difficulties at schools and seek stable personnel management measures."
