September 9-12 Youth Day Celebrations: Life Lectures, Young Artists Performances, Youth Writers Exhibition, Job Fair, and More
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will hold the ‘2023 1st Eunpyeong Youth Festival,’ where Eunpyeong residents unite to support youth, from September 9 to 12 in celebration of ‘Youth Day.’
This event is Eunpyeong-gu’s first official youth festival. Starting with the ‘Youth Day’ event, various programs such as the ‘Eunpyeong Youth Film Festival’ will be held. To create a festival reflecting the perspectives and voices of youth, the ‘Eunpyeong Youth Festival Committee’ was formed last April, with young people directly planning and preparing the event.
On the first day, the 9th, the commemorative ceremony at the Culture and Arts Center will feature ▲ invited singer The Ade (formerly Acoustic Collabo) ▲ performances by young artists and clubs ▲ youth awards ▲ video contest awards, screenings, and events.
Side events on the day include ▲ life lecture ‘Your Life Is Not Ridiculous’ by instructor Han Gil Jeon ▲ Youth Writers Exhibition (artwork display and goods event) ▲ Youth JOB Market (job fair, hair & makeup show, and personal color diagnosis) ▲ Youth Artist Busking (Samulnori, singer-songwriter, balloon art, magic bubble show) ▲ and more fun to choose from! 21 food and experience zones. The festival will be a place for everyone, regardless of age or gender, to enjoy, and prizes will be given through SNS events.
Also, the Eunpyeong Youth Film Festival, starting on the 10th at Lotte Cinema Eunpyeong Branch, will provide opportunities to meet young filmmakers with dreams through the opening ceremony, awards ceremony, screening of the opening film, and a roundtable with young film directors and actors. Films can be enjoyed for free until the 12th.
