Daegu, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam Landslide Warning Raised to 'Alert' Level
The landslide warning alert in southern regions such as Daegu, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam has been raised to 'Caution'.
On the 30th at 9 a.m., the Korea Forest Service announced that it has raised the nationwide landslide warning alert to 'Attention', except for Jeju Island, and raised the landslide warning alert in the southern regions to 'Caution'.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain advisory, forecasting rainfall of 10 to 40 mm per hour in Daegu, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam areas that morning.
Accordingly, the Korea Forest Service comprehensively considered rainfall forecasts, preceding rainfall, and the landslide mid-term forecast system to raise the landslide warning alert in southern regions including Daegu, and plans to maintain an emergency response system centered on the landslide prevention support headquarters.

Kim In-ho, head of the Landslide Prevention Division at the Korea Forest Service, said, "Due to concentrated heavy rain weakening the ground, the risk of landslides nationwide has become very high," and added, "We urge the public to pay attention to emergency disaster messages and village broadcasts, and to evacuate to safe places such as village halls and schools in case of a crisis."
