A man in his 40s who posted threatening messages online, stating his intention to commit a stabbing crime against women on Incheon Rodeo Street, has been arrested and indicted.

On the 29th, the Criminal Division 2 of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Wi Su-hyun) announced that Mr. A (40) was indicted while in custody on charges of threats and obstruction of official duties by deception.
According to the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, on the 5th at 9:49 a.m., Mr. A posted a message on the online community Bobae Dream stating, "Tonight at 10 p.m., I will stab 10 women on Incheon Bupyeong Rodeo Street."
Netizens who saw the post reported it to the police, resulting in the deployment of a total of 86 police officers to Bupyeong Rodeo Street.
At around 1 p.m. that day, the police tracked the Internet Protocol (IP) address, identified Mr. A's identity, and made an emergency arrest.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A stated, "I did not actually intend to kill anyone; I was curious about the comments," and "I posted the message because I wanted attention."
