Yeongyang-gun Informatization Farmers' Association, 'Pumped Storage Power Plant' Perfectly Suited for Yeongyang-gun!
Forty members of the Yeongyang-gun Informatization Farmers Association in Gyeongbuk held a relay campaign at 8 a.m. on August 29 at the Yeongyang-gun Court Intersection to attract a pumped-storage power plant.

View original imageThe Yeongyang-gun Informatization Farmers Association is a group of farmers from Yeongyang-gun who have gathered to secure sales channels for agricultural products and increase high income by utilizing various social information networks such as YouTube, vlogs, Facebook, Naver platform, and live commerce.
The pumped-storage power plant, which the residents of Yeongyang-gun hope to attract by uniting their efforts, is a large-scale project constructed with 2 trillion won of national funding.
The informatization farmers of Yeongyang-gun participated in this campaign to actively engage in and support the key projects promoted by Yeongyang-gun to respond to the crisis of local extinction and revitalize the regional economy.
The pumped-storage power plant project is an important initiative that can secure 1.4 billion won in local taxes annually and is expected to be a great boost to Yeongyang-gun’s local finances.
Jang Byeongcheon, president of the Yeongyang-gun Informatization Farmers Association, said, “Informatization farmers will actively support and participate in attracting the pumped-storage power plant.”
Additionally, Kim Sangje, the secretary-general, expressed the determination that young informatization farmers will take the lead in attracting the pumped-storage power plant.

County Governor Oh Dochang said, “I ask the Yeongyang-gun informatization farmers to maximize income through the sales of Yeongyang agricultural products using the information networks they have built, and to actively promote the Yeongyang-gun pumped-storage power plant project through SNS.”
