Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station Operates Reward System for Reporting Illegal Acts Related to Fire Facilities
Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station announced on the 28th that it operates a year-round reward system for reporting illegal acts such as the closure of fire safety facilities to prevent fires and create a safe environment.
The reporting targets include cultural and assembly facilities, large sales facilities, transportation facilities, lodging facilities, entertainment facilities, complex buildings, and multi-use establishments.
Anyone who witnesses illegal acts can report them within 48 hours by submitting a separate report form with supporting evidence via visit, mail, fax, or information communication network to the head of the relevant fire station.
The main illegal acts include ▲closure of emergency exits and other evacuation facilities ▲damage to fire doors, evacuation stairs, and other evacuation facilities ▲placing objects or installing obstacles around evacuation facilities such as stairs and corridors.
Rewards are paid to the reporter after verification of the illegal act on site and review by the reward payment committee. The reward for the first report is 50,000 KRW in cash or Onnuri gift certificates, and the total reward amount for reports by the same individual cannot exceed 200,000 KRW per month or 2,000,000 KRW per year.
