The Library Now Comes to You... Gumi-si Hosts On-site Reading Lecture
Seoul Metropolitan Central Library to Operate "Book of the Year" Theme in Elementary, Middle, High Schools and Cultural Facilities
Gumi City Central Library will conduct a 'Visiting Reading Lecture' for local elementary, middle, and high schools as well as cultural facilities from September 4 to 22.
This lecture series features the books selected as Gumi City's Books of the Year: Welcome to Hyunam-dong Bookstore, Pilgrimage House, and Yesterday, Birthday. Professional instructors will visit the facilities to run reading programs based on these titles.
The program consists of 'Complete Mastery of One Book' through in-depth analysis and discussion, 'Writing Book Reviews,' and 'Drawing the Mind,' which simplifies and summarizes a book through illustrations. Schools and cultural facilities wishing to participate can choose their preferred format.
Applications can be made by calling the Central Library's Reading Promotion Team between August 28 and September 1.

Lee Seon-im, Director of the Central Library, said, "We hope many citizens who love books and are interested in creative activities such as writing and drawing will participate in the Visiting Reading Lecture, book review and reading impression contests, and other events."
