ScalaData Signs MOU with KAIST Q-Marketing Lab for Joint EV Charging Research and Development
Scala Data Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Ye-chan) and KAIST Q-Marketing Lab (Professor Kim Hye-jin) have signed an MOU for joint research based on electric vehicle charging data.
Both organizations plan to conduct in-depth research on electric vehicle charging data modeling through establishing an industry-academia research cooperation system, actively implementing and commercializing the results. The Q-Marketing Lab, led by Professor Kim Hye-jin, conducts applied research related to technology management, continuously studying customer and market understanding across various industries by utilizing quantitative methods such as artificial intelligence/big data analysis and statistics.
The electric vehicle charging infrastructure integrated platform "Moduui Chungjeon" app operated by Scala Data provides information on more than 230,000 electric vehicle chargers nationwide, an integrated payment solution "ModuPay," a mobile charging service "Daeri Chungjeon," and remote vehicle management "MyCar," among various charging infrastructure services. It has established itself as Korea's representative charging platform used by 7 out of 10 electric vehicle users in the country.

Yoon Ye-chan, CEO of Scala Data, stated, "Through this MOU, the technological capabilities of Scala Data and KAIST will come together to create sustainable synergy," adding, "Starting from the first half of next year, we will strive to provide innovative business solutions that satisfy not only electric vehicle users but also EV charging companies."
