Office staff member posts then deletes 'Selling President's Gift' message... Suspended pending reassignment
An employee of the Secretariat of the People Power Party posted on an online secondhand trading site that they would sell the presidential gift to be received this Chuseok, but later deleted the post.
According to the People Power Party on the 23rd, the employee posted a message on a site on the 21st stating, "I will sell the president's Chuseok gift." The price was set at 300,000 won.
The post reportedly included content such as "The gift has not arrived yet, so the item is undecided," and "I will change the delivery address and send it to you." The post has since been deleted.
Secretary-General Lee Cheol-gyu received a report on the matter that afternoon and instructed, "Take strict action," and the employee was placed on standby suspension.
