Expansion of Cooperation with Tmap Mobility

View original imageOn the 23rd, SK Group announced that Senior Vice Chairman Choi and Chairman Ola held a meeting at the SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to explore ways to expand cooperation in electric vehicle business areas, including electric vehicle batteries and TMAP products and services.
At the meeting, Senior Vice Chairman Choi stated that Mercedes-Benz Group is a long-standing business partner and major client of SK, and he hopes that business cooperation between the two companies will expand following Chairman Ola's visit.
Chairman Ola visited the Mercedes-Benz Korea management team at the SK Seorin Building on the same day, and according to Mercedes-Benz, they discussed various cooperation plans related to electric vehicle products and services, such as battery supply and TMAP provision, with SK Group.
Also attending the meeting was Lee Jong-ho, CEO of TMAP Mobility, a subsidiary of SK Square, who agreed to strengthen cooperation with Mercedes-Benz. TMAP Mobility plans to provide real-time traffic information and equip TMAP Auto navigation in Mercedes-Benz vehicles released in Korea from next year onward.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz announced in its global strategy presentation last February that it plans to build global mobility map partnerships in the Korean market with companies including TMAP Mobility, Google (North America and Europe), and AMAP (China). TMAP Mobility plans to expand various collaborations with Mercedes-Benz in the software-defined vehicle (SDV) market.
