Chosun University Successfully Concludes 'Chosun DongGoDongRak Digital Sprout Camp' in Jeju
Chosun University (President Min Young-don) announced on the 22nd that it has successfully completed the ‘Chosun 同Go同樂 (DongGoDongRak) Digital Sprout Camp (Responsible Professor Byun Jae-young)’ recently conducted for students in the Jeju area.
The Chosun 同Go同樂 (DongGoDongRak) Digital Sprout Camp is organized by the Ministry of Education, 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide, and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, with Chosun University selected as the operating institution for the second half of this year.
Chosun University is currently conducting the Chosun 同Go同樂 (DongGoDongRak) Digital Sprout Camp, which provides software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) education to 1,300 elementary, middle, and high school students (including those in remote areas and socially disadvantaged groups) in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju regions.
In the Jeju area, 21 first- and second-year students from Daegi High School participated in the ‘Computational Thinking - AI Smart Factory’ program, while 20 first-year students from Ohyun High School received education on ‘Future Car Driving Completed with Convergent Problem-Solving AI SW.’
The education was conducted by Professor Cho Young-joo, the lead instructor, along with Professors Yoo So-wol and Lim Hee-kyung, teacher Kang Jeong-hee (Dongsin Girls’ High School), and assistant instructors from Chosun University’s IT Convergence College Department of Computer Engineering including Lee Byung-heon, Jo Yoon-sung, Shin Soo-bin, Kim Sung-won, Kim Se-yoon, and teaching assistant Cho Hyun-seok from the Intelligent IoT major.

Professor Cho Young-joo said, "It was a valuable and rewarding time to conduct the Digital Sprout Camp for high school students in the Jeju area over the weekend,” adding, “We plan to continue supporting the Digital Sprout Camp for students in the Jeju region going forward.”
