Park Ji-hyun "Gwanak-gu Council Members Who Were Swayed by Choi In-ho's Hate Politics Must Reflect"
Former Emergency Response Committee Chair of the Democratic Party, Park Ji-hyun, criticized Choi In-ho, a People Power Party councilor of Gwanak-gu who pushed for the complete cut of the 'Women’s Safe Return Home Path' budget, and also condemned the Democratic Party councilors who supported him.
On the 22nd, former Chair Park said on her social media (SNS), "The Gwanak-gu councilors who were swayed by Councilor Choi’s hate politics must also reflect on themselves. They should apologize to the residents."

However, Choi emphasized on his SNS that "At that time, the Democratic Party held the majority in the Gwanak-gu council, and if there had been opposition from the Democratic Party, this could not have been pushed forward," highlighting that it was a matter jointly pursued by both ruling and opposition parties.
This appears to be a call for self-reflection among the Democratic Party councilors who joined Choi’s proposal. Former Chair Park said, "Who created Councilor Choi In-ho, who boasts about taking away someone’s safety as his greatest achievement?" and added, "As the ruling party responsible for the safety of the people, the People Power Party must take responsibility for this matter."
She further stated, "If a political party nominates candidates and creates them, it is the basic duty of the party in a representative democracy to impose corresponding disciplinary actions and offer apologies," urging disciplinary measures against Councilor Choi.
Former Chair Park criticized, "An innocent life left us due to the Sillim sexual assault and murder case. In such a society, the Women’s Safe Return Home Path was an essential policy for citizens’ safety," and added, "Nevertheless, People Power Party Councilor Choi cut the entire budget for the Women’s Safe Return Home Path and promoted himself for it."
