Monthly Event Held with Volunteer Centers from 16 Districts and Counties in Busan
Employees of Busan Bank gave up their holiday mornings for volunteer work instead of rest. The volunteer team members never dream of sleeping in on the third Saturday of each month.
On the 19th, BNK Busan Bank announced that it had headed to 16 districts and counties in the Busan area to contribute to creating a pleasant local environment through volunteer activities.
The volunteer activity took place for about two hours from 7 a.m., with around 500 members of the "Busan Bank District and County Volunteer Team" participating.
BNK Busan Bank employees are participating in an environmental cleanup volunteer activity at Gwangalli Beach in Busan on the morning of the 19th.
View original imageThe volunteer team carried out environmental cleanup activities by collecting litter at major tourist spots representing Busan, such as Gwangalli Beach, Daejeo Ecological Park, and Cheongsapo Pebble Beach.
Kang Seok-rae, Head of Management Planning at Busan Bank, said, "Through the monthly volunteer activities, we reflect on the meaning of sharing within the community," adding, "Busan Bank will continue to discover and support practical social contribution activities to coexist with the local community."
Since the launch ceremony of the "Busan Bank District and County Volunteer Team" in June, Busan Bank has designated the third Saturday of every month as "Local Volunteer Day" and has been carrying out various volunteer activities together with the volunteer centers of the 16 districts and counties in Busan.

These activities include flood prevention drainage environment cleanup and sandbag making, support projects for creating white roofs to improve residential environments, and sharing samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) to promote a healthy summer during the first heat of summer, all in close cooperation with the local community.
