The expected minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are Seoul 25°C and 32°C, Incheon 25°C and 30°C, Daejeon 24°C and 32°C, Gwangju 24°C and 33°C, Daegu 24°C and 31°C, Ulsan 24°C and 30°C, and Busan 25°C and 30°C.
The minimum temperature on the morning of the 20th is expected to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature forecast to be similar to that of the 19th.
Due to high humidity, the perceived temperature in most areas will rise to above 33 degrees Celsius.
Thanks to the northeast wind blowing from the East Sea, the relatively cooler temperatures along the east coast will begin to rise starting from the 20th.
The sultry weather is expected to continue for the time being.
On Monday the 21st, morning temperatures are expected to be between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures ranging from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Subsequently, as a pressure trough approaches from the northwest, rain will fall across the central region except for Gangwon Yeongdong on the 22nd, and nationwide on Chuseo, the 23rd, with temperatures dropping slightly. Morning and daytime temperatures on the 22nd and 23rd are expected to be between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius and 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, respectively.
From the 24th to the 28th, morning temperatures will range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius.
Rain and showers are also expected this weekend. On the 18th, rain fell mainly in Gyeongbuk, the southern regions, and Jeju. This rain will continue until the morning of the 19th, with some areas along the southern coast of Gyeongnam experiencing rain until the evening of the 19th.
Expected rainfall amounts are 10 to 60 mm in Honam, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju (with Gwangju and eastern Jeolla receiving up to 80 mm or more), and 30 to 80 mm along the Gyeongnam coast (with Busan and the southern coast of Gyeongnam receiving up to 100 mm or more). Rain will also fall in southern Gangwon Yeongdong until night, with expected amounts around 5 mm.
Showers caused by atmospheric instability due to rising daytime temperatures will fall on the 19th mainly in eastern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, Gangwon mountain areas, inland Chungcheong, inland Jeolla, southern coast of Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju; and on the 20th mainly in eastern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, Gangwon mountain areas, northern Chungbuk, eastern Jeolla, Yeongnam, and Jeju.
Shower rainfall amounts will generally range from 5 to 40 mm or 5 to 60 mm, but up to 80 mm or more may fall in eastern inland Jeolla and western inland Gyeongsang, so precautions should be taken.
Due to the influx of swells along the east coast and the southern coast of Gyeongnam, high waves may rise enough to overflow rocky shores or breakwaters for the time being.
