Seodaemun-gu Receives Book Donation from Saemteosa Temple
343 books for adults, children, and adolescents to be placed in 12 public small libraries within the district
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 18th that it received a donation of books to be placed in public small libraries from the nonprofit organization Saemteosa.
The donated books total 343 volumes for adults, children, and adolescents, including "The Mind of Others" by Kim Kyung-il.
At the donation ceremony held recently in the mayor's office, Kim Ji-won, director of Saemteosa, said, "I am glad to have the opportunity to contribute to society through book sharing, and I will actively participate if there are ways to support Seodaemun-gu's reading promotion projects in the future."
Lee Seongheon, mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, "This book donation will not only allow residents to access a wider variety of quality books but is also expected to serve as a good example for spreading a culture of donation."
After organizing the donated books, they will be evenly distributed to 12 public small libraries within the district by the end of this month.

Saemteosa is a nonprofit public interest corporation established based on the monthly magazine Saemteo, and since 2001, it has been a model of social contribution through various activities such as supporting diverse marginalized groups, donating books to military units, prisons, and welfare facilities, and conducting youth character education campaigns.
