Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Hold 'Pyeonghwanuri Picnic Festival' for the First Time in 5 Years
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will hold the music festival '2023 Pyeonghwa Nuri Picnic Festival' on September 23. The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will begin ticket reservations for the event starting from the 23rd of this month.
The Pyeonghwa Nuri Picnic Festival is a picnic-style music performance where attendees can choose between camping table seats and A-bed seats to sit on the vast grassy field of Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri, enjoying the performances freely along with food.
The first event was held in 2018 at Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri, a symbolic space of the DMZ in Gyeonggi Province, but the event was suspended due to the spread of COVID-19. This year, marking the 70th anniversary of the armistice, Gyeonggi Province decided to hold the event to convey the historical significance of the DMZ along with the message of 'greater peace.'
The lineup for the day includes various singers such as Lee Seung-hwan, Peppertones, Roy Kim, Soran, HYNN (Park Hye-won), Kim Feel, Touched, and Himits. Although the performances are free, the festival is raising expectations with an all-star lineup comparable to paid concerts.
Tickets can be reserved through 'Ticketlink,' and detailed information can be found on the DMZ Open Festival website.
