Hwaseong City Selects Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises
'The 1st Hwaseong City Small and Medium Business Awards' Contest
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is launching an initiative to discover outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Hwaseong City announced on the 16th that it has established the 'Hwaseong City SME Award' and is accepting candidate companies until September 27. The 'Hwaseong City SME Award' aims to recognize excellent SMEs that have made significant contributions to the economic development of the Hwaseong region and enhanced the city's prestige.
The city plans to select and commend one company in each of the five categories: ▲Startup ▲Overseas Export ▲Business Management ▲Technological Innovation ▲Labor-Management Harmony. Eligible applicants are SMEs that have had their main office and factory in Hwaseong for at least three years as of the announcement date (for the Startup category, between one and less than seven years).
Recommendations can be made by heads of SME-related organizations or heads of towns, townships, and neighborhoods, or companies can apply directly. The city will finalize the selected companies in November after a three-step evaluation process consisting of a first document review, a second on-site inspection, and a third evaluation by the merit review committee, with awards to be presented in December.
Selected companies will receive plaques and certification signs, along with benefits such as preferential support for special guarantees and operating funds, priority support for attending excellent overseas exhibitions, and incentives including a three-year exemption from local tax audits.
