3.5 Million Gyeonggi Residents Enjoy Movie Screening at Gyeonggi Peace Plaza, a Resting Space
Gyeonggi Province is preparing a special weekend outing program with movies at Gyeonggi Peace Plaza for the 3.5 million residents of northern Gyeonggi.
On the 16th, Gyeonggi Province announced that from the 19th of this month to the 17th of next month, it will hold the '2023 Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Lawn Film Festival' a total of 10 times on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, at the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza of the Northern Government Complex of Gyeonggi Provincial Office.
The main movie screening schedule includes ▲ August 19: the American Academy Awards Best Animated Feature nominee "Luca" ▲ August 20: the comic action film "Pirates: The Bandit Who Went to the Sea" ▲ August 26: the animation "The Secret Life of Pets 2" ▲ August 27: "Mal-Moi," which depicts the story of ordinary people compiling the "Great Korean Dictionary" during the Japanese colonial period.
To this end, Gyeonggi Province will install a large 500-inch LED screen on the lawn of Gyeonggi Peace Plaza and provide free rental of 'dottari' (picnic mats) on a first-come, first-served basis to allow comfortable movie viewing.
Also, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, disinfection and quarantine personnel will be deployed on site, and quarantine measures such as distancing between dottari will be implemented.
This program is free for anyone to watch, and events will be canceled in case of rain.

The program operating hours are from 6 PM to 9 PM, with sketches of Gyeonggi tourist attractions and classical music from 6 PM to 7 PM for families or couples to enjoy, followed by movie screenings from 7 PM.
