The demonstration, held on the 11th at LifeSemantics headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was organized to introduce excellent domestic digital medical products to key Paraguayan government figures upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Attendees included Anibal Gimenez Kullak, Director of the Industrial Policy Bureau at Paraguay’s Ministry of Industry, and Alison Rocio Iglesias Valdez, Head of Medical Device and Dental Device Registration at the Health Surveillance Agency.
LifeSemantics introduced and provided hands-on demonstrations of ▲the non-face-to-face medical platform ‘DoctorCall,’ ▲Seoul’s non-face-to-face health management service for the elderly, ▲the digital therapeutic device (DTx) ‘Redpill Sumtun’ for respiratory rehabilitation patients, and ▲two medical AI solutions developed through the Doctor Answer 2.0 project to the key Paraguayan government officials visiting its headquarters.
Paraguay shares borders with major Latin American countries such as Brazil and Argentina and is a member of Mercosur, the South American common market, making it a strategic gateway for entering the Latin American market. Recently, Paraguay designated Korea as a high-level sanitary surveillance country at the national level to foster the medical industry and create an investment-friendly environment for domestic companies. It is also promoting exemption from Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, which is expected to accelerate export cooperation of medical products between the two countries.

Baek Suhyun, Head of External Cooperation at LifeSemantics, said, “Since domestic digital medical products are subject to strict approval standards, products designated as medical devices are of excellent quality and can be competitive on a global scale. We hope that this event will be the beginning of active exchanges between the approval authorities of both countries, leading to tangible results in the export of digital medical products.”
