Intruder Kidnaps in Travel Suitcase
On the 10th (local time), the child of a Korean resident in Cebu, Philippines, was kidnapped by an assailant but was dramatically rescued. It is reported that the assailant was arrested within 7 hours through cooperation between the embassy and local police.
On the 11th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "An incident occurred in the Philippines where one of our nationals was kidnapped." They added, "After receiving the report, our mission closely cooperated with local law enforcement, and the suspect was apprehended on the same day, with the safety of our national confirmed."
