Naju Senior Club Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for Senior Job Project
Jeonnam Naju Senior Club was selected as an excellent performing institution in the 2023 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project evaluation.
According to the city on the 10th, this evaluation, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Senior Human Resources Development Institute, was conducted targeting 1,300 senior job performing institutions nationwide in 2022.
Naju Senior Club was selected as an excellent performing organization in the 2023 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project evaluation.

Two hundred institutions were selected across a total of 8 categories: 3 multiple types, 4 single types, and a special award category.
Naju Senior Club received high evaluations in the ‘Social Service Type’ category, which includes 7 projects such as childcare facility support projects where experienced seniors contribute to the local community.
In addition, a total of 1,163 seniors participated in 7 public interest activity projects such as coffee grounds recycling, 9 market-type projects including senior cafes jointly operated by seniors to create jobs, and 24 employment placement projects linked with demand organizations where seniors receive fixed wages.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “The best welfare for seniors is jobs. We will actively support senior-appropriate jobs that respond to the ultra-aged society and the new senior generation, ensuring not only income security in old age but also that seniors’ experience produces healthy and productive outcomes in the local community.”
