Jeonbuk Police Strengthen 'Accommodation Safety Management' for Jamboree Participants in the Province
The Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency (Chief Kang Hwang-su) is strengthening safety management at accommodations where participants of the 6th World Scout Jamboree, who left early due to the northward approach of Typhoon 'Khanun,' are staying.
Among the Jamboree participants, about 5,000 people left the Saemangeum Jamboree site from 10 a.m. on the 8th and moved into 9 accommodations across 7 cities and counties within the province.

The police are deploying personnel such as 112-linked patrols, emergency on-site situation teams, foreign affairs interpreters, and detectives at the accommodations, conducting security activities including traffic control around the area to ensure participant safety.
The Iksan Police Station is also operating a ‘Jamboree Mobile Police Station’ at the accommodation housing over 2,000 people, providing interpretation services and managing traffic to maintain a safe environment.
In 16 cultural tourism programs across cities and counties in the province, traffic management, police deployment, and a joint response system with local governments and fire departments’ hotlines are established around event venues to prevent accidents and ensure thorough safety measures.
