Gyeongnam Province Controls Both Directions of Machang Bridge and Geoga Bridge in Preparation for Typhoon
As Typhoon Khanun moves northward, Gyeongsangnam-do blocked vehicle access to maritime bridges within the province, including Machang Bridge and Geoga Bridge, starting from midnight on the 10th.
According to the province, from midnight on this day, Machang Bridge in Changwon City and Geoga Bridge in Geoje City were fully closed in both directions.
Access to and from Tongyeong Bridge and Chungmu Bridge in Tongyeong City, Saryang Bridge, Geoga Bridge, Old Geoje Bridge, Sandal Yeonyuk Bridge, Chilcheon Yeonyuk Bridge, Gajo Yeonyuk Bridge in Geoje City, Namhae Bridge in Namhae County, and Sacheon Bridge in Sacheon City was also blocked.
Noram Bridge, Changseon Bridge, Changseongyo, Singeoje Bridge, Dongjin Bridge, and Chubong Bridge, managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, were also closed.
Gyeongsangnam-do is preventing damage caused by Typhoon Khanun by blocking access to private roads, national highways, and local roads, and deploying safety personnel and equipment in the affected sections to provide information on restrictions and detour routes.
