On the afternoon of the 9th, Gyeonggi Province disseminated a special directive from Governor Kim Dong-yeon to the provincial government office and city and county offices.
The special directive includes ▲ strengthening the situation management system centered on heads of local governments and their deputies ▲ thorough inspections before the typhoon's approach in various sectors, including areas at risk of collapse and flooding due to heavy rain such as landslide-prone and steep slopes, semi-basement houses, underground roads, underground parking lots, and riverside walking paths, as well as coastal fishing boats and ships, construction site tower cranes, vinyl greenhouses, and outdoor advertising structures ▲ active implementation of preemptive control and evacuation in cooperation with police and fire departments regarding risk factors.
Earlier that day, at 1 p.m., Gyeonggi Province activated Emergency Level 1 at the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, with 19 personnel including the head of the Natural Disaster Division and related department officials on duty. Furthermore, considering the typhoon's path, an escalation to Emergency Level 3 is being reviewed for the early morning of the 10th.
