President Kim Dong-seop of Korea National Oil Corporation Conducts On-site Safety Management at Summer Storage Bases
Kim Dong-seop, President of Korea National Oil Corporation, visited the Donghae Storage Base on the 8th to inspect the maintenance status of on-site facilities such as aboveground tanks and pipelines, and conducted safety training for workers on site during the summer season.
Considering the recent record-breaking heatwave and the approach of Typhoon Khanun, the 6th typhoon, which has heightened the possibility of damage at the business sites, Kim Dong-seop urgently ordered the establishment of a safety management posture for on-site equipment and facilities at all domestic storage bases and visited the Donghae Storage Base on the 8th.
At the Donghae Storage Base, President Kim first presided over the 'Pre-Work Safety Inspection Meeting (TBM: Tool Box Meeting)' and then visited the aboveground product oil storage tank area and the onshore loading and unloading facilities to meticulously check the implementation status of safety management and the maintenance status of the facilities.
On site, President Kim checked the pressure status of each oil storage tank and transportation pipeline, urging the accompanying managers to ensure that there would be no disruption to loading and unloading operations.
He also instructed to focus on checking the fastening status of major facilities and auxiliary supports in preparation for strong winds and heavy rain that may occur during the typhoon period.
