Jung Food announced on the 9th that its central research institute received excellent evaluations for six consecutive years in the '2023 International Food Analysis Proficiency Assessment (FAPAS)' hosted by the UK's Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA) under the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.
FAPAS is the world's largest proficiency testing program that evaluates the diverse analytical capabilities of laboratories. Every year, government agencies, corporate research institutes, and university laboratories from around the world participate in the program to have their analytical skills recognized.
Jung Food's central research institute participated in the FAPAS program in the fields of microbiology (coliform bacteria) and food chemistry (ash content, magnesium) and received excellent evaluations with high accuracy in all categories, the company said.
