'Jamboree Sexual Crime Controversy' Sparks SNS Exchange Between Lee Jae-myung and Shin Won-sik
Lee Jae-myung "Shin Won-sik Didn't Even Know It Was Secondary Harm"
Shin Won-sik "Representative Lee Is Truly a 'Second National Betrayal'"
Regarding the controversy over sexual crimes that occurred within the Jeonbuk Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree camp, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, raised his voice against Shin Won-sik, a member of the People Power Party, who raised suspicions of 'opposition party involvement' concerning the early withdrawal of the Jeonbuk Federation's 900th troop. In response, Shin countered by calling it "Lee's second betrayal of the people."
On the 7th, Lee posted on his social media account, "Perhaps this person does not even realize that this is a second victimization," linking to an article that conveyed Shin's claims.
Earlier, Shin stated on his SNS, "The early withdrawal of the Jeonbuk Federation's 900th troop from the Jamboree is the worst act of betrayal to the people," and claimed, "The simple mistake of the Thai leader was exaggerated into a sexual crime and used as a pretext for early withdrawal." Furthermore, he raised suspicions of opposition party involvement by saying, "One cannot help but reasonably suspect the political background behind such an anti-Republic of Korea decision."
In response, Lee pointed out this as "second victimization." Immediately after Lee's SNS post, Shin posted another message saying, "It is Lee himself who should stop the 'second betrayal of the people'." He added, "The Jeonbuk Police Agency and the Secretary-General of the World Scout Movement, both investigative bodies, have already stated that the Thai Scout leader's entry into the women's shower room was not a sexual crime but a simple mistake. Therefore, the 'second victimization' cannot fundamentally be established; this is common sense even a child would know."
He continued, "Nevertheless, the leader of the main opposition party seemed to side with the Jeonbuk Federation's unilateral sexual crime claims and pointed to me as a 'second victimizer.' If so, I ask Lee to present the evidence on which he bases his assertion that the Thai leader's actions constitute a sexual crime.

Shin said, "What is suspicious is that until last Friday, the Democratic Party refrained from any political strife related to operational disruptions of the World Jamboree, but from Saturday, they began a full-scale political offensive framing the Yoon Seok-youl government as incompetent." He added, "Then yesterday, the Jeonbuk Federation decided to withdraw, and today Lee issued a critical statement against me. How do the people think about this series of events over the past two to three days?"
