Ulsan Office of Education, Fostering Technical Talent Tailored to Local Industries Such as Secondary Batteries
In line with Ulsan being selected as a national advanced strategic industry secondary battery specialized complex, the Ulsan Office of Education will provide related technical education to vocational high school students.
Recently, Ulsan was chosen as a secondary battery specialized complex, and it is expected that the demand for manpower in industries related to eco-friendly mobility (Green Mobility) centered on secondary batteries will increase.
Accordingly, the Ulsan Office of Education will support customized technical education tailored to local industries, such as secondary batteries and robot applications, for vocational high school students through this year's vocational education innovation district project.
The Ulsan Office of Education stated that through this customized technical education project, they expect to proactively cultivate young technical talents equipped with job performance skills and field adaptability.
From the 7th to the 25th, the city education office will conduct customized technical education in secondary batteries and robot applications for 52 second- and third-year vocational high school students who wish to work at local companies, at Ulsan College of Science.
The secondary battery education will be held from the 7th to the 23rd at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Ulsan College of Science for 26 vocational high school students.
The education will focus on understanding secondary batteries through basics and material theory, analysis of secondary battery materials and cathode metal ion concentration, as well as practical manufacturing process training.
The robot application technical education will be conducted from the 16th to the 25th at the Robot Application Technology Education Center of Ulsan College of Science for 26 vocational high school students.
The program consists of understanding basic robot operations, robot teaching simulation, and hands-on practice with the configuration and operation of teaching pendants, designed to be applicable in various industrial fields.
