Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it will support a total of 200,000 beverages (100,000 ion drinks and 100,000 vitamin drinks) through the Korean Red Cross for the 25th World Scout Jamboree currently underway in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk. The event, which started on the 1st, has 43,000 youths from 158 countries participating, but the number of heat-related illnesses is rapidly increasing due to the heatwave.
A Samsung Electronics official said, "We decided to provide beverages to help manage the health of the participants even a little," adding, "Samsung has actively participated by donating money and goods and supporting recovery efforts at various domestic and international sites."
