Samsung Provides 200,000 Beverages to Jamboree Participants

Samsung Electronics will provide beverages to participants of the World Scout Jamboree who are struggling with the heatwave.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it will support a total of 200,000 beverages (100,000 ion drinks and 100,000 vitamin drinks) through the Korean Red Cross for the 25th World Scout Jamboree currently underway in Saemangeum, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk. The event, which started on the 1st, has 43,000 youths from 158 countries participating, but the number of heat-related illnesses is rapidly increasing due to the heatwave.

A Samsung Electronics official said, "We decided to provide beverages to help manage the health of the participants even a little," adding, "Samsung has actively participated by donating money and goods and supporting recovery efforts at various domestic and international sites."
