Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Park Hee-young) invited children from Our Neighborhood Care Center branches 4 and 6 to the district mayor's office over two days on the 3rd and 4th. This was to check the status of elementary care during the vacation and to gather user suggestions.
The visit to the mayor's office was a promise made by Mayor Park Hee-young during her visit to Our Neighborhood Care Center on the 27th.
On the 27th of last month, Mayor Park visited Our Neighborhood Care Center branch 4 (160 Hyochangwon-ro) and branch 6 (17 Seobinggo-ro). She directly checked the elementary care situation during the vacation and met with the children using the centers.
The children who visited the mayor's office sat at the official desk for a commemorative photo. Then, sitting around the conference table, they handed over 10 prepared opinion letters to the mayor and engaged in conversation.
The children requested the expansion of outdoor play spaces at the care centers, the increase of dedicated scooter use areas, and the creation of safe pedestrian paths.
Mayor Park gave immediate responses to the opinion letters. She also explained the principle of using public funds for matters involving budgets, tailored to the children's level of understanding.
Regarding the opinion that the yard in front of branch 4 is uneven and poses a risk of falling during outdoor play, and that field trips using public transportation are inconvenient, she instructed the responsible department to seek support measures.
