Households selected as final participants through document screening and interviews will live in Baeksunol Experience and Recreation Village for three months starting this month. The county will support accommodation fees, experience program costs, and training expenses during this period.
In particular, this project participation type is part of the "Return-to-Farming and Rural Living Exploration Team" project operated by the Yeonggwang-gun Regional Tourism Council (representative Cha Sang-hyeok). It offers programs for urban residents on rural living methods, network formation, visits to excellent advanced farms, and tours of outstanding cases of youth resident business ventures under the Tourism-Dure program.
Meanwhile, through this "Living in the Countryside" program, 2 out of 3 participants from the 1st session in 2023, Kim ○○ (Gwangju, 31 years old) and Kim ○○ (Busan, 31 years old), decided to return to farming and rural living in Yeonggwang-gun and have actually relocated and settled there.
Ko Yoon-ja, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We congratulate the urban participants who settled in Yeonggwang-gun through the 'Living in the Countryside' program," and added, "We will do our best to provide active counseling and support for successful settlement after returning to farming and rural living."
