'Samyoung Chemical Group Founder' in 70s Housekeeper Cleared of Sexual Harassment Charges
The police have determined that Lee Jong-hwan, chairman of the Kwanjeong Lee Jong-hwan Education Foundation, who was accused of sexual harassment, is not guilty of the charges.
According to the police on the 1st, the Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul decided not to prosecute the case, concluding that there was insufficient evidence to support the charge of sexual harassment by abuse of authority under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act against Chairman Lee.
A woman in her 70s, A, who worked as Chairman Lee's live-in housekeeper since October last year, filed a complaint with the police in December, alleging that she was repeatedly forced into acts of sexual nature at his home and during business trips.
The police plan to continue investigating A's theft allegations. Prior to A's complaint, Chairman Lee filed a complaint against her, claiming that she had freely charged tens of millions of won on his credit card.
