Sejong City to Host 'Pachimaek Night Market' at Traditional Market Next Month
Sejong City will hold the ‘Pachimac Night Market’ festival at Sejong Traditional Market next month.
Sejong City announced on the 1st that from the 5th, for two days, the ‘Pachimac Night Market’ will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the central street of Sejong Traditional Market in Jochiwon-eup.
The name of the night market event, ‘Pachimac,’ is a combination of ‘Padak’ (green onion chicken), which is the original and a specialty of Sejong Traditional Market, and ‘chicken’ plus ‘beer.’
A total of 24 stores will participate in the night market, where visitors can enjoy various foods such as Padak, snacks, jokbal (pig’s trotters), dumplings, gangjeong (sweet crispy chicken), sikhye (sweet rice drink), and jeon (Korean pancakes). Visitors order and pay for food at the night market stalls set up in the traditional market, then receive their food and enjoy their meal in a designated dining area.
Sejong City plans to enhance the summer night market atmosphere by holding live music performances on-site every evening at 7 PM and 8 PM during the event period.
