Kyobo Securities Achieves Early Completion of Eco-Friendly Project 'Dreami Green Race'
Kyobo Securities announced on the 31st that it has achieved early completion of the "2nd Dream Green Race," which has been underway since May, aimed at fostering an eco-friendly corporate culture in line with its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management strategy.
The Green Race is an event where employees accumulate points by practicing eco-friendly activities in their daily lives for sustainable growth. There are 25 mission activities, including separating recyclables, planting trees, using public transportation, and purchasing low-carbon certified products, with points ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 depending on the importance of the activity.
The challenge started on May 10 and will run for 100 days until June 10, with a goal of accumulating 10 million points. Beginning with separating recyclables, over 500 employees have registered more than 6,000 cases as of the 28th. The activities with the highest employee participation were using public transportation, turning off PCs when leaving work, separating recyclables, and outdoor environmental conservation activities, in that order.
A Kyobo Securities representative said, "We are pleased that the event was completed early due to the passionate interest and voluntary participation of our employees in environmental issues," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in practicing responsible actions that create positive changes for society, the environment, and the world."
