Honam University Sarang Nanum Center, Jumeokbap Sharing Event
The social service group ‘Haots’ of Honam University’s Love Sharing Center announced on the 31st that they held a Love Rice Ball Sharing event at the 2023 Yangdonggeon Fish Market Yangdonggeon Beer Festival held on the 29th.
Composed of students from the Department of Culinary Arts, ‘Haots’ prepared three types of rice balls for this sharing event: 1980s-style rice balls made with rice, salt, and barley, soy sauce rice balls with anchovies and zucchini, and gochujang rice balls with meat and dried shredded squid, along with a refreshing and savory soybean paste soup.
Student Seokjun Moon (2nd year), who participated in the activity, said, “Through making and sharing rice balls, I reflected on the noble spirit of sharing and the May 1980 Gwangju spirit,” adding, “I want to continue participating in such volunteer activities in the future.”
