Hektoino's 'Balloso-deuk' App Surpasses 1 Million Downloads... "Box Office Hit"
Hecto Innovation announced on the 31st that its 'Balro Sodeuk' (Foot Income), which converts essential daily activities including walking into 'income,' surpassed 1 million members in just about half a year since its launch. This achievement is attributed to offering the fun of 'challenge, competition, and cooperation' to the entire nation.
Balro Sodeuk is a walking-based 'daily reward' app introduced earlier this year by Hecto Innovation, a company providing lifestyle-oriented platforms and solutions. Users pay a 'daily support fund (points)' to participate in challenges presented in the app, and if they complete the tasks within the set time, they receive 'income (coins).' The earned coins can be used to purchase gifticons from various brands such as cafes, dining, convenience stores, or to enter exchange voucher events within the app.
Balro Sodeuk structures everyday routines from waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night into challenges, allowing anyone regardless of age or gender to participate without additional time investment. The challenges include 'walking habit challenges' as well as 'daily habit challenges' such as drinking water, taking supplements, listening to music, reading books, and checking daily expenses. Successfully completing a challenge rewards up to 1,000 coins, and even without participating in challenges, 3 coins are automatically accumulated for every 1,000 steps taken.
Compared to similar reward apps, Balro Sodeuk incorporates game elements such as 'challenge, competition, and cooperation' to make participation enjoyable. A representative game element is the 'daily support fund.' This point, which can only be used for challenge participation, is provided at 3,000P every Monday and expires at midnight on Sunday. The 'daily support fund' acts as in-app currency that limits the number of challenge entries, giving meaning to the challenge. Additionally, during walking habit challenges, users can choose options like 'team step count battles' or 'walking with friends' to experience fun through competition and cooperation.
Furthermore, Balro Sodeuk operates collaboration challenges with companies to offer additional rewards such as discount coupons. In the first half of this year, collaboration challenges were held with Jeju Air, Happy Point, and others, with plans to expand cooperation with various companies.
