Ulsan Freight Truck Drivers' 'Online Refresher Training' to be Offered This Year
From the Ulsan Cargo Truck Transportation Business Association Website
Truck drivers in Ulsan can now receive their refresher training online starting this year, without the need to attend in-person sessions.
On the 29th, Ulsan City announced that from August until the end of this year, refresher training for freight transport workers will be conducted ‘online.’ The online refresher training, implemented for the convenience of truck drivers, can be accessed through the Ulsan Freight Truck Transportation Business Association website.
According to the Freight Truck Transportation Business Act, freight truck drivers are required to complete 4 hours of refresher training annually. However, those who have violated laws and workers operating hazardous material transport vehicles equipped with mobile communication devices must complete 8 hours of training.
This year, the number of trainees is estimated at 8,276. Among the 9,576 commercial freight truck drivers in the Ulsan area, 1,300 people were excluded, including new drivers who obtained their qualifications this year and those with over 10 years of accident-free and penalty-free records.
The training content includes ▲ laws related to freight truck transportation business and road traffic ▲ matters concerning traffic safety ▲ and necessary tasks related to freight transport operations.
The online refresher training can be accessed via the Ulsan Freight Truck Transportation Business Association website using a PC or mobile device. Starting in August, trainees can apply and begin courses simultaneously, allowing convenient training without restrictions on time or location.
This year, training will also be provided to freight transport workers from other regions who have an address in Ulsan.
However, during August, applicants must apply via fax or by visiting the Ulsan Freight Transportation Association, and online training will begin from September.
