Seoul City Requests Suspension of 'Park Won-soon Documentary' Screening... "Secondary Harm"
Request to Suspend Premiere Screening and Halt Screening
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will send an official letter requesting the producer of the documentary film 'First Defense,' which deals with the sexual crime case of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, to halt the preview screening and stop the film's exhibition.
On the 28th, Seoul City decided to send this official letter to the documentary production committee 'People Who Trust Park Won-soon' and director Kim Dae-hyun.
Seoul City stated that since the sexual harassment incident during the former mayor's tenure was confirmed as factual by the court and the National Human Rights Commission, forcibly proceeding with the preview screening and exhibition of 'First Defense' constitutes a clear and serious secondary harm to the victims.
