Doosan Enerbility Reports Operating Profit of 859.2 Billion KRW in H1, Up 65%
Doosan Enerbility announced that it recorded consolidated sales of 8.5804 trillion KRW and operating profit of 859.2 billion KRW in the first half of this year (cumulative). Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 25.5% and operating profit increased by 65.3%.
The company analyzed that this was due to "increased sales and operating profit based on growth in orders and order backlog, as well as strong performance from subsidiaries."
By business segment, the Enerbility division (including overseas subsidiaries under management standards) achieved orders of 5.1641 trillion KRW in the first half, reaching 60% of this year’s target. The order backlog as of the end of the first half stood at 16.3725 trillion KRW. Major order projects include the supply of main equipment for Boryeong New Combined Cycle Power Plant (0.3 trillion KRW), supply of main equipment for Shin Hanul Units 3 and 4 (2.9 trillion KRW), and construction of a combined cycle power plant in Kazakhstan (1.1 trillion KRW).

Doosan Enerbility is promoting the expansion of follow-up orders for the Korean standard gas combined cycle model based on purely domestic technology developed with participation from domestic industry-academia-research collaboration (first order for Boryeong New Combined Cycle) and the successful commissioning of the Gimpo Combined Heat and Power Plant. Following the start of manufacturing reactor vessel materials for the first SMR (Small Modular Reactor) project in the U.S., full-scale production of reactor equipment is scheduled to begin by the end of the year. Additionally, based on the battery recycling technology (lithium recovery) successfully developed in 2021, the company has decided to establish a subsidiary. Full-scale commercialization is underway with mass production targeted for the second half of 2025.
