Yecheon-gun Provides 18 Temporary Modular Houses of 8.5 Pyeong Each to Flood Victims with Housing Damage
Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is promoting a temporary modular housing installation project and public rental housing support for disaster victims who suffered damage to their homes due to heavy rain.
The temporary modular houses, approximately 28㎡ (8.5 pyeong) in size, are equipped with basic infrastructure such as water supply and drainage, and electricity, and 12 units in Gamcheon-myeon and 6 units in Hyoja-myeon of Yecheon-gun will be installed first by August 15.

View original imageTo ensure no inconvenience for residents, the houses are equipped with heating and cooling facilities, kitchen facilities, and bathrooms so that residents can live immediately upon moving in, and living support services such as electricity bill discounts will also be provided.
Yecheon-gun also plans to provide public rental housing (Happy Housing) in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town to disaster victims in cooperation with LH, offering convenience in housing for disaster victims through exemptions from rental deposits and monthly rent.
County Governor Kim Hak-dong said, “I hope that the emergency housing support for disaster victims will be a small but great help to those affected by the flood damage, and we will do our best to help disaster victims find stability as soon as possible.”

Yecheon-gun plans to carefully identify disaster victims who qualify for support and do its best to improve the residential environment of disaster victims, including additional installation of temporary modular houses.
