Honam University Signs Exchange and Cooperation MOU with Mongolian National University of Education
Park Sang-chul, President of Honam University, announced on the 27th that he visited the Mongolian National University of Education and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote exchange and cooperation.
On the same day, President Park visited the Mongolian National University of Education along with Son Wan-i, Director of the International Exchange Office, Kim Sung-yoon, former president of the Honam University Alumni Association, and Kim Myung-gun, Chairman of the Asia Culture Scholarship Foundation and Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Korea.
They signed an MOU with President Batbator Jamiyansuren and other key officials to establish a Sejong Institute and held a cordial meeting.
Representatives from both universities promised to activate mutual cooperation through academic exchanges such as dispatching professors and students, planning joint exchange programs, and detailed discussions for the establishment of the Mongolian Sejong Institute.
Prior to this, Chairman Kim of the Asia Culture Scholarship Foundation and Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Korea donated 20 million KRW as a development fund to Honam University in March for the establishment of the Mongolian Sejong Institute.
The Mongolian National University of Education, established in 1951, is a prestigious national university for training top teachers in Mongolia and is located in the capital city, Ulaanbaatar.

It consists of five colleges including the College of Sociology and Anthropology, College of Arts and Physical Education, College of Education, and College of Teacher Education, with 12 departments, 44 undergraduate programs, 28 graduate programs, and 17 doctoral programs. Currently, approximately 13,500 students are enrolled.
