Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Holds Meeting with 112 Security Comprehensive Situation Room
The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju pledged to enhance its response capabilities to various disasters in the wake of the Osong Underpass tragedy in Chungbuk.
On the 27th, the Gwangsan Police Station held a meeting with all staff members of the 112 Comprehensive Security Situation Room.
At the meeting, the importance of the situation room's prompt response during major incidents and accidents, as well as the roles of reporting between the field, situation, and functional units, was emphasized.
In particular, they urged regular checks of walkie-talkies and other equipment on the disaster safety communication network to ensure readiness for immediate response to disasters such as heavy summer rains.
In cases of repeated similar 112 reports, thorough monitoring is required to distinguish between identical reports and re-reports, and officers were instructed to perfectly perform their role as guides to ensure police arrive at the scene quickly and accurately.
