‘Gamjatteok Mandu’ 10th Anniversary Renewal
Ottogi announced on the 27th that it will launch two types of renewed ‘X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu’ (Potato Rice Cake Dumplings), an upgrade of the existing ‘Gamja Tteok Mandu’.
The newly introduced X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu features an improved appearance and taste to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original ‘Gamja Tteok Mandu.’ It is characterized by a thinner and more transparent dumpling skin and a filling packed tightly without glass noodles. The two varieties include ‘X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu Meat’ and ‘X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu Kimchi.’ Reflecting consumer feedback that the original dumplings were somewhat large, these have been released in a size perfect for one bite.
The ‘X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu Meat’ offers a mild flavor with plenty of pork and vegetables, enhanced with vegetable oil for added aroma. The ‘X.O. Gamja Tteok Mandu Kimchi’ combines pork, spicy kimchi, and aged seasoning to provide a diverse texture and umami taste. Both types maintain their dumpling skins well even when boiled, making them ideal for various soup dishes such as mandu-guk (dumpling soup) and mandu jeongol (dumpling hot pot).
